I chose to research Typotheque. Typotheque is a type foundry and design studio in the Netherlands founded by Peter Bil’ak. Bil’ak designs most of the typefaces that Typotheque sells. They are developed for Macs and Windows. Fonts designed by Bil’ak include the Fedra Sans and Fedra Serif font families and Johanna Bil’ak designed Jigsaw. According to the website, Typotheque has a strong focus on extended language support, which has pushed them to create fonts that support not only Latin-based languages, but also Greek, Arabic, and more. They were the first commercial foundry to license its entire library for web use. They offer 1986 fonts in 140 families, which are easily searchable. The website also offers a blog about their fonts.
