Avant Garde Specimen Book

I think that Morgan Beier’s Avant Garde type specimen book is stunning. I think that it was extremely creative for Beier to use The Great Gatsby as the theme for her specimen book’s aesthetics. This specimen book is successful because Beier used a simple color scheme of a golden shade of yellow, black, and white. The font’s shape itself is geometric, so I think that using lines leading on and off the page throughout the book help to accentuate that fact. This specimen book definitely shows Avant Garde to its best advantage.
